## We're introducing a classic.

As devoted to our coffees as we are, our house-made pastries generate plenty of their own fanfare. From the recently reinstated [Saffron Snickerdoodle](/content/frequency/saffron-snickerdoodle-recipe/index.html) to our savory [shortbread](/content/frequency/shortbread-recipe/index.html), our culinary team keeps our pastry shelves stocked with sweet and savory offerings. The newest addition to the lineup—the Blue Bottle Chocolate Chip Cookie—is sure to be a guest favorite.

"It's fantastic," says Culinary Operations Program Manager Hourie Sahakian of the house-made treat. With a few tweaks on the original recipe, first served in our [Tokyo cafes](/content/cafes#tokyo/index.html), this chocolatey confection is "straightforward and traditional," says Culinary Operations Manager David Hurt. "Except for the sea salt," he adds, which strikes a delicate balance with the sweetness of the 70% cacao chocolate.

Chocolatey though it may be, this cookie's best feature? It pairs with every single one of our coffees.
